Encompassing 4,425 acres in the Uwharrie Mountains, the oldest mountain range in North America, the park features hiking trails, a natural history museum, campgrounds, a swimming pool and an amphitheater. Located six miles east of Albemarle, the park is bordered by Lake Tillery on two sides. Rental boats are available.
